Although we at Consumers' Auto Detective have seen structural repairs as bad or worse than this vehicle, this is the worst example of cosmetic repairs we have ever seen. Retail value at the time of the loss: $14,100. Cost of Repair: $3,365 The following pictures illustrate the condition that the vehicle was returned to the consumer:

Although the vehicle owner refused to accept the subject vehicle as properly repaired, the body shop and its partner insurance company refused to do anything more for him and he was forced to sue them. Ultimately he received a settlement. Today the vehicle is in the possession of Consumers' Auto Detective and is available for inspection. No amount of pictures do the poor quality of this repair justice. |
