Simply put, we see the problem areas as twofold:

1) Underpayment of shop services

Consumers' Auto Detective can support a shop's request for complete payment for all procedures necessary to restore a vehicle to its pre-loss condition in a workmanlike manner.  Documented failure to completely pay a repair shop for all required procedures relieves a shop of the burden of completion of these procedures and places the blame for any lost value on the proper individual or individuals.  This puts an end to "your the only one" word track we always hear.  Imagine, a third party with only the consumer's best interest at heart telling the responsible payer - PAY!

  2) Steering of repairs

When a third party payer prevents your customer from having repairs performed by your shop, Consumers' Auto Detective can inspect the vehicle for proper and complete repairs.  Informing the consumer of diminished value, incomplete repairs and any possible fraud.  Where the possibility of fraud exists, Consumers' Auto Detective will notify the Attorney General's Office.  A Diminished Value Report can produce re-repair income for the repair shop.  We can also supply a shop with unbiased reports on the competition and the paying party to present to their customers before the job is lost.

  Confirm quality of repairs

When Consumers' Auto Detective inspects a properly repaired vehicle, the owner, repair shop and the insurance company  is issued a certificate of proper repair.   When you display these certificates to consumers in your shop , it supports anti-steering and complete payment for repairs.

Make responsible party accountable

If a vehicle has not been repaired in a workmanlike manner, a Consumers' Auto Detective Diminished Value Report will pinpoint the blame.
